A member of the U.S. Army Infantry in 1967 and 1968 where he served on the Presidential Honor Guard, as well as a tomb guard and relief commander at the Tomb of the
Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetary. Was one of the military guards who buried assassinated presidential candidate Robert Kennedy.
